Hey are you going to still have me on for Dai Cast 13 ?

  • jasohill says:

Hey there, everyone. I’m back and I survived that boat. I had a good vacation in Kyuushuu and I’m looking forward to listening to episode 13. Long live the blagarggggg!!

  • Eryn says:

Hate to say it, but this was probably my least favourite episode so far. The annoying buzz in the background of the whole cast was quite annoying and distracted from much of what was being talked about. Also, didn’t really find the topics all that interesting this time around (woo-hoo, we can make sure sake’s the right temperature, how terribly exciting). Though, it was nice to hear from Todd again. :) Here’s hoping Dai-Cast 13 is a return to glory!

  • Eryn says:

Oh right, and the o’blgaarggag scale was great! I forgot about that. XD

  • Tara says:

I’m not sure if you noticed, but all your examples of victims of theft etc were all *women.* It’s not so much that Japanese are less likely to be targeted than gaijin but women are more likely to be targeted than men.
And the whole “shame” concept is totally correct -they really push people not to press charges (especially sexual assault etc) because the shame is enough to stop it. yeah right.

Also about the Hanko versus signature thing. Japanese officials don’t seem to realize that signatures change unlike hanko. God, I hated trying to explain that a 4 year old signature on my passport isn’t exactly the same as I use now…gah.
