The true "Father of Video Games" was Willy Higinbotham who created Tennis For Two! Why was he the first? Because this game wasn't played on a computer, it was in fact played on an Oscilloscope (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oscilloscope). Tennis for Two was played basically like pong.
