Last week, May 10th to be exact, I had a chance to meet up with the other users of that oft-talked about internet phenomenon known as Twitter, here in Edmonton Alberta. I had a chance to sit down with the organizer of the event, and avid tweeter himself, Mack D. Male. If you’re interested in finding out more about the event, or just looking to stalk some Edmontonians online, you can head on over to Edmonton Tweetup Wiki, where you can check the status of the second Edmonton Tweetup, or find links to the Twitter profiles of all those in attendance!

Every week, Dai-Cast Supplemental will give you a chance to learn a little something more about Japan, and allow us to clear out our archives of old topics which didn’t make it into the full length show. All in 3-5 minute easily digestible chunks!

This week on Dai-Cast, we’re full of anger once again, and you know what that means! We’re talking about copyright. Specially this time, it’s Cruncyroll.com getting $4.05 million in venture capital funding. Related, we get into an interview with a Fansubber, and the 4 major ISPs in Japan banning torrent users. And finally, we delve into the dark world of child pornography, and how Unicef wants to ban it in Japan. All this, and not much more, on this weeks Dai-Cast.
Hosts: Ian Horner, Jason Hill, and Eryn Dearden.
